About the Author
Dave Parker was Technical Editor of New Civil Engineer magazine for 12 years before leaving in May 2006 to become a freelance author and journalist. His interests include microgeneration and structural safety, and he successfully campaigned for the setting-up of the CROSS confidential reporting scheme in the UK.
Antony Wood is Executive Director of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat and an Associate Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology College of Architecture. His field of specialism is the sustainable design of tall buildings. His PhD explored the multi-disciplinary aspects of skybridge connections between tall buildings.

Interesting and easy to read

Although it's true, it is not very technical, I find it very interesting and easy to read. I read it for my Tall Buildings Class for my Master Degree and as my professor said, it is just a guide to the overall and complicated subject of Tall Buildings Design. There are not, to my knowledge, any Tall Buildings book that goes deeper into design and analysis.
It is very informative, I recommend it for Civil Engineers and Architects that want an introduction to this matter. Again, easy to read and entertaining.

Good but not very technical.

Good book, good overall information, but does not go into any technical detail and depth. (stays vague about outriggers etc) I was hoping to find a little more technical information. If you already know a little about the structural design of tall buildings it will only confirm what you may know.
